Formicary release the OCS Compliance Connector for ChatSeer™ - The Enterprise Chat Monitoring Tool

London - UK - 7th November 2007 - Following the recent launch of Microsoft’s Office Communications Server 2007 (OCS) Formicary Ltd, an IT consultancy and software firm specialising in providing solutions for the Financial Services industry, today announced the release the OCS Compliance Connector for ChatSeer™ - The Enterprise Chat Monitoring Tool.

This advanced solution was developed and implemented to meet the requirements of two top tier Investment Banks in response to the new Instant Messaging (IM) compliance regulations. It has also been designed to ease the discovery and compliance investigation requests for the next generation of channel-based IM applications. In addition to OCS, ChatSeer™ connects to Parlano’s MindAlign (recently acquired by Microsoft), Reuters Messaging and Microsoft’s Live Communication Server 2005 (LCS) which includes MSN, AOL and Yahoo! via PIC.

The unique design and architecture of ChatSeer™ means that it integrates with IM in a native manner, instead of converting instant messages to email format for storage. This allows an enterprise to be confident that all IM traffic, both internally and externally, is easily discovered and that private and channel-based conversations are accurately reconstructed.

The system is designed to be highly available, robust and has the new optional MyChat™ module that enables individual users to search and retrieve their own messages across all IM applications.
