BlackBerry PlayBook App built in seven weeks to meet RIM's UK launch deadline

In collaboration with Research in Motion and The Royal Bank of Scotland Global Banking & Markets, Formicary recently delivered an innovative corporate BlackBerry Playbook app for the PlayBook launch in the UK. Built within a tight deadline of seven weeks using HTML5, the new app provides the bank’s global financial clients with access to fixed income, commodity and currency (FICC) research and strategy information while they are on the move. It includes a built-in algorithm that identifies clients’ defined interests and viewing history to provide them with information that is customised to their preferences. Formicary delivered the front-end functionality of the app that enables users to view, sort and comment on shared market information in a secure and compliant mobile environment.
